How to Print Coloring Pages Perfectly

A few settings make the difference between a perfect page and one with cut-off edges. Here's everything you need.

1. Pick the right size

FormatSizeUse it if…
PDF · Letter8.5 × 11 inYou're in the US, Canada, Mexico or the Philippines.
PDF · A4210 × 297 mmYou're almost anywhere else (UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia).
SVG · VectorAny sizeYou use Cricut, Silhouette, Procreate or want a poster-size print.

2. Print at 100%

  1. Open the PDF and choose Print.
  2. Set the scale to 100% or Actual size. Avoid "Fit to page", which shrinks the drawing.
  3. Choose portrait orientation and the paper size that matches your download.

3. Choose your paper

  • Copy paper (20–24 lb / 75–90 gsm): fine for crayons and colored pencils.
  • Card stock (65–110 lb / 176–300 gsm): best for markers, gel pens and paint, with no bleed-through.
  • Mixed-media paper: great for watercolor pencils.

Using the SVG

The SVG is a clean vector: every line is a shape, so it stays sharp at any size. Import it into Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio to cut or draw, into Procreate or other apps for digital coloring, or scale it up for a giant coloring poster.

Troubleshooting

  • Edges are cut off: make sure scale is 100% and the paper size matches (Letter vs A4).
  • Lines look faint: switch the printer quality from "Draft" to "Normal".
  • The download didn't start: you may have reached today's free limit; it resets at midnight UTC.
